Canterbury is a small town, only one and a half hour by train from London. My friend said it's the type of town she'd like to live in, but not for me. I'm okay with a getaway like this once in a while, but I'm definitely a city girl. I should at least go out, hang out in the heart of the city once a week. Last Easter break almost everyday I spent in Oxford Circus.
Anyway, what my friends and I did were very relaxed. Once we arrived we got hot chocolate for each person, visited the Canterbury Cathedral, had lunch, took a mini boat tour which involved a few times head-bending because of the low bridge which made me disgusted (I'm not a nature person), and walked in the park. That was it before we hopped in the train at 5 or 6 pm to head back to London. A decent trip indeed.
