Hey, how's life?

I miss being home. Kinda homesick, I guess. But at the same time enjoying life on this part of the world. It's that time of term when I'm stressed out over assignments and worrying about getting them all done and stuff like that, but my parents keep reminding me to pray, do my best and let God do the rest. Simple saying but always successfully calms me down. I'm really thankful to have my parents supporting me along the way and I know this has nothing to do with fashion wear whatsoever, but I just want to say that I am grateful of my life.

This set of photos were taken when London weather was still friendly. Right now is all about wind and rain but hey, I've been warned and I know it by now that we can't expect this country is going to be miraculously all sunny like Australia.

I am soooo in love with everything midi and below-the-knees-length right now. I mean, true, this feeling have started blooming earlier this year but I find myself recently wearing like those knee-length dresses or skirts or even pants like the ones I wore on the pics. Kinda help with the weather as well, never wear minis in Autumn-soon-Winter. Who said that? Me. Doesn't mean I'll be ditching my mini skirts or shorts. It's just depending on the mood. It depends on the eclectic me.

I've Got a Pocket Full of Sunshine

Contrary to what I'm feeling right now, that outfit photos taken a few weeks back really screamed "LOOK AT ME I'M HAPPY AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!" Well, for the record, we all should be happy, really.

I was hooked the first time I saw these pants in eX, Jakarta. Major Minor is one of Indonesian local brands that I just discovered that day. They had amazing prints on their garments and this pair is one of the examples. I just loved my new pants, especially since tartan/plaid is currently at the top of the trendy fashion chain. Clashing patterns is also taking its hits now, hence the stripes and plaid in the same look. For all I know, I'm getting used to mix more than two patterns in one outfit. I like it a lot, it 'un-bores' me.

Aspirations

Children dream very big. Children wanted to be an astronaut, they wanted to be a pilot, a president. It wasn't wrong at all, inspiring even, but only a very few of them who'd make it to their first big dream. I admire people who still dare to do so--to dream big--even when they know the obstacles that will come their way to achieve their goals in life are countless. Because lately I've felt myself sliding off on one of my ultimate desires. I need that something to trigger myself, to motivate myself, to keep going and not stop dreaming. I want to be like those children. To dream without limits.

October Picks

I browsed through ASOS after 3 months not opening it, and I found some pieces I would love to have for this Autumn/Winter season. After I compiled the pictures altogether, I realised there was a colour palette going on, like oxblood, mustard, black, and teal. I was also looking for some patterns here and there to spice up any boring plain stuff. Mixing patterns is one of my favourite things to do now. Now what are your picks of this season?

Comfort Zone

Sometimes, the unsaid warmth feeling inside your heart is being home for the whole day, sleeping in your bed, waking up to read a book whilst listening to oldies songs such as The Beatles & Frank Sinatra. To be honest, they're not my favorites but oldies songs are that good. And then here I am, typing up on my blog so a new one will be posted.

I remembered on that day last year in Seoul, South Korea,we separated ourselves from the tour and went to Hongdae--an area famous for the cheap Korean barbeque because it was an area for university students. And damn it was one of the best barbeques I've had in my whole life. It was fairly cheap and satisfying. Then after our lunch, we went to Cheonggyecheon to take some pictures.

If you haven't noticed, I love to wear double volume of clothing. Very loose both on top and bottom. And this is one of the examples. Oline Workrobe and Cotton Ink are both Indonesian brands who produce loose garments with fabulous designs. They're not similar, they have their own characteristics but we can always make many different brands work together. For what I've examined, while Oline Workrobe has more intricate sides (like the detail on the collar of this top), Cotton Ink is the perfect stock for basic items (neutral-coloured A-line skirt). And them together, makes one of my most favorite outfits I've pulled out during my vacation to South Korea last summer. This is the last batch of outfit photographs from SK edition (and everybody pukes). I can't even tell where I got that phrase from. SK edition, really?
