Innocence

"Wasn't it easier in your lunch box days?
Always a bigger bed to crawl into
Wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything?
And everybody believed in you."
- Innocent, Taylor Swift

Don't you remember how naive you were back then when you were still 5,7, or 9? When you knew nothing about the cruelty that happened in this world?

Honestly I don't. But I used to think life was so simple. You grow up, finish school, get a job, get married, have a family, and live till you die. Well how naive was I. I still am, apparently. When I had a discussion with my friend (A) about how people would think or prioritise themselves first, make the most benefits they could for themselves and do not care about others, I was thinking the opposite. I said, "Why would they want to do something that harm other people? I personally don't want to do such things." It's true that most people put themselves first before others, but to disadvantage others very deeply to get what you want is just not   okay. You can get to where you want to be without harming other people. My other friend (B) said I was too naive to say something like that and my other friend (C) said it was different in business world. Then it got me. Yeah, it must've been different. The way you socialise daily might have been different from the way you do your job. Maybe you're caring and thoughtful to friends but you would fight very hard to beat your competitors. Life is tough. And the world is evil. But hey, gotta live one day at a time. The time will come when I have to deal with messy business or that kind of stuff.

I don't know how this outfit pics related to the "innocence" topic above. I just rambled. Anyway, this set of pictures were taken in St. Andrews, Scotland, the city where Prince William studied for university. Unfortunately my friends and I couldn't find the university and take touristy pictures in front of it. Instead, we found ruins of a castle and a cemetery which we paid £7.60 which wasn't expensive, but didn't worth any of the experience. However, the highlight of the day was to find the best gelato parlour in town, if not in the whole country, Jannettas Gelateria. So at least, our trip passing through St. Andrews was not really a waste. Hey, anything for the adventure right?

Ciao.

Wow. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and that is my favourite all time song of hers and that's the exact section of the song that really stands out to me. Co-incidentally I wanted to write a post about that someday too. Amazing pictures, so much fun.
