Grandmotherly Love

Since my grandmother (from mom's side) had her birthday just a few days ago, I would like to make a post for her (consisting my pictures................... *awkwaaarrddd*). Okay, so. I would like to thank God for the existence of such a wonderful person like my grandmother; a hardworking, loving, and caring person. I want to cry cause I miss her right now (apparently I miss everybody at home lately). My mom told her children (one of them is moi) she wouldn't be the person she is today if it wasn't for her mother a.k.a my grandmother. She told stories about how strong and hardworking my grandma is (and the genes are passed through the generations *wink wink*). The ethics and disciplines that she taught my mom, were also given to me.

One of the stories my mom told me about my grandma that I could not forget is her generosity. Because she lives in the countryside, four-five hours ride from my hometown, getting all sorts of daily consumptions from local markets (instead of supermarkets) is very normal. And since she is very concern about the products that were consumed by us in the big city are not as healthy as the ones she could obtain from the village, so she continually sends us raw food like free range chickens and eggs (she's so cute, right?) But she doesn't only buy them from the markets. Sometimes, when there were children who sold one or two eggs to her (door to door method), she would buy them because she wants to help the kids (the kids got the eggs from their pets, the chickens... quite a long story?) So she collected all these eggs, adding two by two, things like that, and when she got a bucket full of free range eggs, she sent them to my family.

It's a simple story but very touching for me. Because it doesn't just teach me about care, but also about patience, about giving, and in one way or another, about saving up. I love you, Grandma :)
