Navy Blue is My Mantra

Sweater - Cotton Ink
Skirt - H&M
Tights and flats - Primark
Bag - Cupcake
Socks - Rubi
Necklace - COS

Nothing you haven't seen before. I have used and abused these sweater, bag, and flats. I, sometimes, am also bored with my wardrobe. Yeah. Sometimes, just sometimes, I'm one of those girls who say, "I have nothing to wear!" when I have a whole wardrobe for myself. But seriously, aren't every girl?

Oh, and the dessert picture is just something I thought I'd add. But those who live in Jakarta, don't worry, Hong Tang is definitely better.

Chartreuse and Pale Pink

I never thought I could mumble to myself like what most movie characters do--which I think, by the way, is very very odd. I mean, most people say what they think in their heart or mind and don't say it out loud when they're alone. But I guess I'm wrong.

Lately I found myself just say my opinion to myself, like out loud. And that was weird, but I just didn't see that coming. For example, the place where I live in now, they painted the wall colour mauve in room A and light blue in room B. And when I was in room A earlier, I said to myself, "Huh? It's light blue now? Wouldn't it be better if they're all mauve?" Am I turning into those abnormal movie casts? Ew.

As you can see the pictures were taken last year (OMG--like I'm surprised) when my hair was still curly and I have bangs. Kinda miss the hair though 'cause I don't have to blow dry it. I don't have to do anything with it, really.

So yeah, I just think I'd share with you these pics rather than let them go to waste. I mean, I personally like the colour combo. Chartreuse and pale pink? Why the hell not.

'Til next post.

Christmas Gift Guide

I know Christmas gifts shopping can be very difficult and sometimes frustrating, more than we could ever imagine. Maybe because of how close it is already to Christmas and we all know who we are, shopping at the last minute, so I'm here to inspire you to search for student-budget Christmas shopping. These gifts might be given to your parents, siblings, friends, anyone actually but my main focus is to have them in good price range, the ones that don't make our wallets cry.

I narrowed them down to 9, some can be used by both sexes, some only for the feminine ones ;) (because, well, let's face it, there are more things to get for girls than guys). And I love to give something that are useful. If you know your relatives close enough, you might want to give them something that they madly need or in love with, so you could see a smile on their face once they open the present! And making people happy has its own satisfaction, believe me.

1. Orla Kiely Set of 5 Round Nesting Cake Tins £35.00 (but it could be used for home decorations or compartments in your closet) Can be purchased individually at Liberty.

If you are in London; Orla Kiely store can be found in Covent Garden, Shu Uemura in Selfridges, Muji in Oxford Street, Pylones in Carnaby Street, Lulu Guinness in Bank, Ciaté in Selfridges, Paperchase in Goodge Street. Well of course, some of them have more than one branch, so if you find them other than in the places I mentioned above, then good for you! Ha! ;)

For me, at the very moment, I am so interested in candy-coloured coats!

Aren't they just pretty and sweet? I can eat them anytime because of their colour cuteness and also because I am so bored with my coats right now ugh! Hahaha.

Anyway, hope this post helps!

Til next one!

Cardiff

Sweater - Cotton Ink
Outerwear - (X)S.M.L
Pants, bracelet, and ring - H&M
Necklace - Diva
Shoes - Converse
Bag - Givenchy Pandora
Socks - From Korea
Sunglasses - Burberry, borrowed from le photographer

I always forgot to bring sunglasses whenever I came back to the UK because I think my conscience told me not to, since there will be no sun anyway. And it was true. I never used any pair of sunnies all through Autumn, Winter, and Spring which all summed up into one season: cold and grey. But that day  when we went to Cardiff, Wales, was the first day of June 2013 and the sun shone very brightly and beautifully and I came unprepared therefore I borrowed my friend's. Haha. I always borrowed their sunglasses.

Cardiff is a beautiful city. I don't know if it is during Winter, but during summer it looks amazing, especially the location on Cardiff Bay where the photos were taken. Everybody is out enjoying the sun. Families' outing, couples' dating, girls with ice cream, guys with skateboards, children with dogs, it's just lovely. I wish I could repeat the summer without the heat, only the sun and the mild breeze.

Therefore I Write

I should be writing an essay instead of writing a blog post. But tell me how because it is way way harder than it looks. I am quite bad at writing something academically, formally. I guess I should read more. And not the trashy books that I usually read, the ones with deeper essences like biographies and politics. Okay, scrap that I won't read politics. I should stick to the ones I enjoy.

I could write pages and pages of stories informally, without having to care I put the words 'and' and 'but' after full stops. Or having to compress 100 waffled sentences into 30 qualified instead. Shouldn't repeat the same words within one paragraph. I mean, I love writing and reading. But having the need to rummage through every words to get or deliver the meaning is time consuming and brain wrenching. Nonetheless I still like doing essays though (bear with this labile me, would you?)

Shorts - River Island
Tights - New Look
Boots - Dr. Air Martens
Bag - Cupcake

I thought I would never like paisleys on any clothing because I thought they only suit scrapbooks, tea party and pastels. But this top from Topshop, J.W. Anderson's first collab with this high street retailer, made me fall in love with it on the first sight. It just amped up any look I donned, such a statement piece remembering the quilts and the full print. And the colours can be considered as unusual as well. It effortlessly embodies the vintage-looking garment, even though it's not. I fell in love with the brand J.W. Anderson instantly.

Isle of Skye

Or we could call it Aisle of Sky because the sky was beautiful, even though it wasn't as beautiful as Australia's or The States'. Let's face it, UK have a lot of pretty corners here and there and the country never fail to amaze me I call it a second home. BUT, what it lacks is the sky. Everybody knows two third of the year it's raining and gloomy and grey. That is why my sister don't want to move here because she claims she's a lover for the big blue sky, NOT a big... grey sky. I admit it sometimes it's depressing to have to watch the rain, especially since I walk everywhere but most of the time when it is only the greys without the downpour I kinda let it go and forget that it's supposed to be sunny too in this side of the world. I mean, unfair, yes, that some parts of the world just get all the sun, but... I let it go because of how big my love is for this country. Enough of the pitiful grey UK, because actually the photos show the contrary.

Believe it or not, the location where my friend took these pics of me is the city centre of Isle of Skye. Yeah. Okay, so we asked the concierge of the 'hotel', or you could say it was an 'inn', where was the city centre, the place where we could get some food and chill and people watch, and he said it was right in front of the hotel. Ooookay.

A: There's a good news and bad news.
B: What are they?
A: The good news is the city centre is very close to our hotel.
B: What's the bad one?
A: It's right here.
