Surfer's Paradise

I don't know why I don't take as much outfit pictures as I did in the UK. It's so unexpected considering my go-to-photographer a.k.a my sister is here and I can just ask. Then I remembered that I haven't post any of my Ozzie trip last year. But it was a winter trip and it's quite weird posting winter outfits in a summer, so right now I'm just gonna post my Gold Coast outfit pictures. It was still a winter but Gold Coast's winter is like, Sydney's summer. It was breezy and sunny. The weather was lovely.

I really loved Gold Coast. I loved the beach, the atmosphere, the hotel, the downtown, the friendly people, everything. I definitely want to go back there. Ahh, just by looking at these pictures makes me want to go to the beach nowww... I haven't seen any beach views more than a year :(

Cropped t-shirt - Valley Girl
Shorts and leather bangle - Cotton Ink
Sunglasses - Christian Dior
Shoes - Muji
Ring - Accessorize

Since last year cropped top was still a new thing, I wanted to try it with high waist shorts. I really like the colour combo of pale pink and navy blue. Navy blue is really the new black. I've been pairing it with whatever colour possible lately; teal, mint green, lime, purple, cream, mustard... Love it, nail it, wear it (my sister's new phrase only hers is 'buy it' instead of 'wear it').

Ciao.

Nicholas Kirkwood x Keith Haring

I know this is old news, but I still can't stop thinking how creative Nicholas Kirkwood is. He is one of many shoe designers that brings art to a whole new level.

Look at the collection and you'll be amazed.

Look at the heels and how he played with colours. Look at the platforms and the feel of art. His imagination is beyond inspiring. Although I won't be caught dead wearing the thigh high boots with wheels underneath, I am still in awe he created all these stunning beauties.

Maybe no one would wear them. Maybe they will be showcased inside a glass box in a shoe addict's home. Because let's face it, this is more suitable to be kept and shown as works of art rather than used and abused on the road. Even though I wouldn't mind wearing the two pairs on the last two pictures c: They're my favorites.

Old Games

I was addicted to tetris. An old game that was renewed well on Facebook hahaha... Speaking of old games, my sister found this "bekel" that we used to play when we were little. Fun. Old games never die.

Shorts - Sportsgirl
Necklace - Swarovski
Bag - Vintage Celine
Socks - Uniqlo
Shoes - Forever New

I guess you never get over with your childish side. I'm now attracted to something cute, like this shirt, and any cute-looking socks. I bought one pair of socks that has clouds printed on them and I just can't wait to wear them. And I also found this one pair of hamburger socks but still thinking whether to buy them or not because I already spent so much. You think it's just a pair of socks, for God's sake, but no, they are quite pricey, in my opinion, because they are "just" a pair of socks. Although, if you ask me, socks is one of my favorite accessories now. More than earrings (I don't have ear holes, that's why).

Ice Cubes

There are times when I don't know what to write for my post, like right now. I'd love to share my "experience" going to the dentist yesterday and found out I have no problems at all a.k.a my teeth are sparkling clean but I know that would bring the damn bored expression out of your face. But I just did. Hehehe... Although, wait a minute, that was quite a result considering I chew ice cubes everyday like they were the best snack in the whole world. They are.

The question that lingered in my mind till now is, why do we need to pay for water in the restaurants but not for ice cubes? They were made out of water too, right? Once I asked the waiter to make me shredded ice, syrup, and condensed milk for my drink, and they didn't know how much was it because it wasn't in the menu (talk about a demanding customer :P) but in the end they just charged me 1000 rupiah. And that was pretty much like an iced syrup. I was surprised. Hahaha.

T-shirt - Zara, sister's
Dress - From Japan
Bag - Vintage Céline
Rings on right hand - H&M
Purple flower ring on left hand - Forever 21
Necklace - Nuance, from Shanghai
Bracelet - Accessorize
Socks - Uniqlo
Shoes - Unbranded

I loved digging through my mother's closet cause you never know what you'd find. Like this Céline bag, for example, that my mom bought a long time ago. This is probably the classic box bag years and years ago. Now the box bag is simpler with the metal clasp without any buckle with the horse like my mom's. I'm craving for the newer version as well, especially in mint green ;)

For the shoes, quite a funny story happened to me. Had not been able to wear the shoes I left in my home when I was away in UK, I wore one pair of my sandals out one day with my friends. The band broke off. That was the second time in just two weeks I've been here. My friend tried to join them together with a dressing pin so I could walk while I looked for other pair of shoes. I didn't find anything that I like until I found those oxford shoes. They were not the best oxford shoes, but they were oxford shoes, so I bought them anyway for only 135,000 rupiah or around 10 pounds. I loooovveeee oxford shoes I'd collect them in every color.

Ciao.

P.S. Don't forget to go to the dentist once every six months. For the healthiness of your teeth ;)

Witch & Angel

I hope not blogging once every two days doesn't make me a bad blogger. The super slow internet just dragged my mood down. Other factor was that I didn't take pictures every time I hung out. How long have I been here already? A week? Everyday I went out but always "forgot" to take outfit pictures *sad* *sob*. So just to exchange my MIA in the past few days, I'll post another long photo shoot that was done in the spring with, who else? My friends :)

Top - H&M
Shorts - Forever 21
Tights - Zara
Wedges - Primark
Hat - ASOS
Bag - Issey Miyake Bao Bao Bag

Actually we decided the "theme", or at least the title, of this photo shoot right when we arrived at the setting. My friend and I didn't plan on some in sync costume for the so-called planned photo shoot. So I turned up into all-black outfit while she dressed up in a pastel-ish kinda way. Therefore, we named it "Witch and Angel", also got the idea from my friend's name, Angel. So there you go.

I actually like the material of my top because it was dipped into some sort of paint, I don't know, but it was the metallic trend kinda thing. I bought it directly when I first saw it in H&M. Zara had a better quality, especially for the gold ones, but this one isn't so bad either, except that it sorta made me looked fat. I love the hat as well. I've been searching for the perfect black hat and I've found it on sale, for only 7.50 pounds, on ASOS! Love the scalloped edge and hole punched combination.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun during the process because we tried so many different poses, especially on the carved wooden "chairs". I don't know who carved or made them, but they were beautifully made.

Don't you love going to a park like this? Hmm... It's not the outdoorsy Hyde Park kind of park, more like a small forest, no? The weather on that day was quite cold, created quite a "dark" atmosphere. The point is, I love going to the parks. Would be perfect if my friends and I brought picnic baskets and do picnics. Maybe some other time ;)

Ciao.
